Harry Clark was born in Connellsville in 1920 and most of his life was spent in the Connellsville area where he married and raised his family.

Harry Served in the military from January 1942 to December 1945 including time served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater on the islands of Saipan and Tinian.

Upon his return home from the Army, Harry worked in the building trades as a carpenter. His creative and artistic talents were ultimately expressed through his life long passion for railroading (his interests in railroading was likely due to the fact that both his father and grandfather worked on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad).

In 1954 Harry transitioned from Lionel and American flyer railroading to HO gauge model trains and from that point on model railroading became his focus and legacy.
