Theodore was killed in action on June 13, 1944
Theodore M. Alesantrino was born in 1913. He was drafted into the Army at Greensburg, Pennsylvania on May 16, 1942. He was from Connellsville. He had completed 4 years of High School, and he listed his occupation as Architect. He was single with no dependents.
Sergeant Alesantrino was killed in action in France during the 22nd Infantry's attack against the Quineville Ridge, north of Montebourg.
Theodore was buried in the temporary US Military Cemetery Sainte Mere-Eglise #1 at Carentan, France in Block N Row 6 Grave 103 and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, most likely in 1948 when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
