Joseph Thomas Cassidy Sr.

Joseph was born March 13, 1912 in Connellsville. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 at the age of 30. He was stationed in Reykjavik, Iceland, then was transferred by boat to England and then to France. Joseph fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He stayed in Germany until 1945, and then returned home to Connellsville.
