PFC Edward G. Ramsier, who held the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat in France last November 19, has been reported killed in action in France on December 19th, the War Department advised his widow.

Private First Class Edward G. Ramsier was killed in action December 19, 1944 in France, according to a telegram received by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Hodge Ramsier, who is residing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hodge of Tarr. He had been in the service two years the first of March and was overseas since the latter part of September. Besides his widow, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ramsier of Tarr, formerly of Dickerson Run; a sister, Mrs. Henry Baird of Dawson, and a brother, Private Henry Ramsier, somewhere in Germany. Before entering the service he was employed by the Walworth Company at Greensburg.
