Activity during WWII
1943 - 1944, Served in the Armed Guard. 1944 - 1946; Gunners Mate 1st Class. Served in Underwater Demolition Scouts and Raiders, Navy Intelligence and Guerrilla Warfare, Sino-American Cooperative Organization (SACO). Operated behind the Japanese lines, reporting troop movements in India and China under the command of Admiral Milton E. Miles and General Chiang Kai-Shek for the invasion of India and China.
Guy received the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with 1 Battle Star. He also received the China Service Medal, American Theater Ribbon and Metal, Victory Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal.
